Worthless Oct 12, 2008 three second pause after striking the first key before the thing starts transmitting to the computer. Great for saving batteries I guess but mostly worthless to me. ALWAYS missing the first few characters of every sentence. The only time that I was satisfied with this product was the satisfaction that I got from smashing it to pieces and throwing those pieces in the trash. WHAT A PIECE OF JUNK !!!!! I'll NEVER buy another product from ThinkOutside (they should call themselves ThinkUselessTrash)
This is a delicate keyboard! Aug 09, 2008 I purchased this unit for use with my Qwest Mogul, and it works great with the Mogul! The only problem I have is that the top center hinge has broken on my unit. I bought a second unit, which arrived with the top center hinge also broken, so I think a redesign is in order. Otherwise, the unit works really well, the keyboard feel is good, the size is good, etc. The little stand for the phone is quite flimsy, and I wish it didn't make a click when I press the shift key, but those are small complaints. I can type on this keyboard just as well as with a full-sized keyboard. If it weren't for that pesky center top hinge, I'd give it a five star rating.
excellent addon for my phone Apr 29, 2008 This keyboard works great when I am out and need to be able to throw a long e-mail together, or take an irc meeting from my phone in a starbucks (yeah it has happened). It worked very well with my AT&T Tilt with just the standard bluetooth HID drivers, but works even better if you install the ones from Think Outside which let you use all the extra buttons and the function key combos which make it even more useful. Overall I would recommend this keyboard to anyone that has a Windows Mobile or other compatible phone and wants to use it to do more.

Poor Quality Mar 11, 2008 I don't do many reviews but this product deserves one - a bad one. The Stowaway Bluetooth keyboard is labeled as a 'Think Outside' product but the company seems to have been bought out by iGo in the meantime. I purchased it as a companion to the Samsung Q1.
Even though my setup is designed to be ultraportable, I've only taken the computer (and keyboard) out of the house a couple of times - which is important to note because it means the keyboard has only been folded up a couple of times in its young life.
Outside of latency and malconnections, the keyboard worked reasonably well during this time period. Then one day, with no notice, a tiny screw popped out of the bottom (stripped) and the keyboard stopped working. Again, this is on a 'portable' peripheral that has only left my desk a few times.
The unit was still under warranty - I described the problem and they agreed to repair/replace. I was happy to see a new keyboard arrive 10 days after I'd sent off the old one. No sooner was the new keyboard unfolded and placed on my desk, ZING! A tiny screw popped out into the air. This one is (was) designed to help hold the battery compartment to the top of the keyboard. The pop had stripped this screwhole as well.
Does the keyboard still work? Yes. Though one of the battery compartment screws is gone, yes, it does still function. Is it proof of cheap design/workmanship? I think so. I would hate to have to deal with these problems if I were a real road warrior; not sure the keyboard would last more than a few days in a true mobile environment.

Works great with the ASUS eee pc Mar 08, 2008 I really love this keyboard and it's served me well. I've had it for over 8 months and have no major complaints. However, I would never pay $189 for it, which is the price on Amazon as I type this. Also, $30 shipping for something that weighs less than two pounds? I think not. Use your GoogleFu to find a retailer selling it for less than $100. I got mine for $60 at J&R Music World.
Originally I used it with my PDA phone, the Samsung i730. The only complaint I had was that if I let the keyboard be idle for too long, I had to reconnect it. But I had to let it be idle for more than 5 minutes. It does feel a bit flimsy but has not broken yet. The major complain I have is that when you lock it into it's unfoldable state, it still needs a flat surface under it. It's not self-straight holding.
When I bought my ASUS eee pc I couldn't deal with the tiny keyboard. So I bought a Bluetooth dongle (something random from CompUSA's going out of business sale) and set it up. Once I fiddles with the eee pc settings to make the Bluetooth turn on each time the system started up, it was simple to connect the keyboard and get to work. If you leave the keys idle for a few minutes, it sometimes takes a few seconds to recognize keystrokes, but it will.
I couldn't be happier if I had bought the keyboard specifically for the eee pc. However, since the Bluetooth dongle takes up a USB port, anyway, if you don't need Bluetooth, I suggest getting a USB folding keyboard. They're cheaper.
(Seriously, $185 is completely ridiculous.)
