5Get It With Studio -- Especially Studio 11  Feb 25, 2008
I bought this hoping it would solve my problem capturing analog video. My Pinnacle AV/DV board, which I bought back with Studio 9, no longer brought analog in properly: the audio was almost a second behind the video. The AV/DV board worked properly with Studio 10, but nothing could get it to work with Studio 11. Another factor is that my new computer was dual core, which could have contributed. Studio 11 makes use of dual cores, while Studio 10 doesn't -- and of course the AV/DV board predates dual cores. I gambled this would do the job, because the Movieboard included an audio input (AV/DV relies on your computer's sound board to bring in the audio). To make a long story short, this solved the problem. Installation of the board was simple enough: XP recognized it instantly, and Studio 11's CD installed the driver. Analog video now transfers perfectly (of course, it also has the firewire port for importing digital video). A bonus to the product is that it comes with a copy of Studio 10 Titanium, which I've stored away in case someone wants to try Studio. It also comes with a green-screen backdrop, which is an inspired extra.

5Good Product  Feb 14, 2008
I followed the directions and installed it just the way they said, everything worked really good. The only problem I've faced was that it kept capturing from color to black and white and back again. Pinnacle's website under support tells you to get the latest driver and it will correct the problem. I did that and I haven't seen the problem again. This works with Vista without any problems.

3Studio Movieboard  Aug 31, 2007
It works alright, but not great with my Sony Handycam. I ended up having to upgrade my RAM and Harddrive to keep it from stuttering. The pinnacle software is a little to simplistic for me. I would like to do a llittle more with captured video. Pinnacle seems a little limited here.

1bad disc  Feb 22, 2007
i sent this item back, through no fault of amazon, because the install disc was bad. i called pinnacle about this and they sent me a new disc by bulk surface mail that took 2 weeks to arrive!!! i could not use the new disc because they neglected to sent a product key to open the damn thing. poor customer relations and service on the part of pinnacle. GREAT service on the part of amazon. it was easy to return the item and get a refund. i will use amazon again and thank them for their service *****'s..

5Outstanding Buy  Jan 11, 2007
This is an ousting buy. I have been using Studio for some time now and this is working greate. I have been able to put all of my navy vhs tapes to dvd. I am able to look back at the places I have been to without worrying about the tapes being damaged because they are too old.
