Great Product! Feb 27, 2008 I bought Seagate 320 a couple months ago and i back up everything on my home pc. No Issues, Very idiot Proof. Just plug and play through the USB ports. Whats great is that there is a Fire wire and Esata data transfer. They give a back up program that automatically backs up what you specify. The only con is that there is no power button. I just plug it in once every weak or two to back up. For the price and size storage you cant go wrong.
Seagate as Time Machine Feb 23, 2008 Very easy to install, you just plug it in. My Mac recognized it and Time Machine (the new automatic backup) was up and running.
firewire connection stopped working in 2 weeks. Feb 15, 2008 The firewire connection stopped working in 2 weeks. The usb connection is still working (another week later), but I don't have a lot of faith in this as a backup drive.
Easy set up! Feb 11, 2008 Easy set up. It does the job. I would recommend it to anyone who simply wants a back up drive for their pictures and files.
Does what is supposed to do Jan 18, 2008 No problems with it. I like that it shuts down and starts up with the computer. My initial backup of about 50gb using the Firewire took awhile but that may be more my computer than the drive.
