I love how the software for this product automatically does a back up for changed files. It is seamless and I cannot imagine this product working any better.

This drive works wonderfully with DVRs which accpet USB2 external storage devices; just connect to your PC after downloadung the amazingly large 120MB Seagate Tools archive, then disable sleep mode.
It has worked well for my Moxi, but when recording multiple streams, or HD streams, it can stutter and cause minor audio glitches. If this is what you'd use it for, get a different model with at least a 16MB buffer.

That's all there is to it...
I used this memory drive to back up my pictures and music...
And it did just that... including my itunes library...
I'm happy..... and recommend it.

The hard drive just stopped working after a month. Watch out! You should get a back up for this back up.

The drive automatically installs some pretty useless software, but the drive itself seems pretty solid. I don't recommend removing the USB connection while the computer is on since, like most devices where "safely remove hardware" is required, the success is a hit or miss affair.
Speed with USB is adequate for video editing which is a good stress test.
