NO GO! Doesn't work with Windows Media Ctr or Mac OSX Aug 22, 2008 This simply doesn't work.
I'm going to try to return it to see if it's defective.
If that's the case, I will update the review at that time.
I tried on 3 different types of machines.
The package says it is compatible with Windows 98SE/Me/2000/XP, but it also has a Mac logo on the back.
I tried this in my desktop machine, which is Windows Media Center Edition, 2002.
It recognizes the USB stick, but does not transmit any sound, and will lock up iTunes, and then subsequently any other audio operation.
Tried rebooting the machine and testing each channel on the USB receiver stick. Still nothing. It looks like it should work. The indicator lights are flashing as indicated, but nothing. Not even static.
I tried in my Mac Book Pro, with no luck at all. ITunes, simply comes streaming out of the speakers.
I then tried in an older Windows XP Laptop that I have, and again, nothing. It didn't hang the machine, but still does not work.
I will update the review after I return the item for replacement.
UPDATE:
I finally got this working on my Windows Media PC, but there is some serious interference with my 2.4Ghz wireless router. I can't find a fully clear channel while the Linksys wireless router (which is right next to my PC) is plugged in. If I power off the router, there is no problem, but the range is still limited. (like 10 feet). I still haven't made this work on my MacBook Pro laptop, but I did notice when I was having problems hooking it up on my Mac that it knocked out the signal on my wireless network card, so it seems there are compatibility issues that cause problems. Definitely not worth the price for these hassles. I would've just invested in another pair of my Sony noise reduction, wired headphones for almost half the price.

wireless head phones Apr 23, 2008 This product works well but the batteries only last for a few hours. Rechargeable batteries are a must.

Long on sound, short on life Apr 13, 2008 I've had these wireless headphones for about a month and like them very much with one glaring exception which cost them 2 stars. The sound is very good and they are reasonably confortable, they do a good job of blocking out outside noise as well, which is a plus.
I use these at work in a bull-pen environment and the wireless feature makes them extremely nice because I can walk away from my desk still wearing the headphones with no degradation in sound.
An interesting aside is that the microwave interferes with the sound which is understandable.
It looses 2 stars because it is a battery hog. I am averaging around 25 hours per set of batteries. I have a co-worker that bought a set after I bought mine and he has a similar problem so it is not unique to my set.
Work great even in Linux Mar 21, 2008 I took a bit of a gamble when I bought these headphones for use at work because I primarily run Ubuntu and they're only listed as being windows compatible. Ubuntu 7.10 had no issues with them once I selected the usb transmitter as my primary audio device. The sound quality is great and with well charged batteries I even get a clean signal from our break room 12+ feet away from the transmitter.
Fantastic headphones Mar 07, 2008 The Samsung Pleomax PHS-3800 headphones have great sound quality, a comfortable fit and sturdy design. I have had no trouble keeping a signal from the USB wireless device. They worked with XP out of the box, plug and play. The 2 AA battery design makes them very easy to power, and a good design keeps tham balanced on your head and not bulky. Even with no sound coming through the headphones, it gets noticably quieter when you put them on with a snug yet comfortable fit. The volume control is in the perfect spot on the back of the right side earpiece.
Samsung has been making some quality electronics for some time now and these headphones are at the top of the list. I highly recommend these headphones.
