2Better ones out there for less.   Dec 10, 2008
I've had this laptop for while.

Pros:
=====
Decent hardware setup.
Reliable (exceptions see below)
Runs very quiet.

Cons:
=====
Remote does not work/no fix through HP.
Issues with Blue-ray/no fix through HP.
The usual plethora of pre-loaded software you do not want.
Vista.

If you want a decent workhorse, it's pretty good. If like the extras to work...well, keep shopping.

4Good product  Oct 15, 2008
I am totally happy with the computer itself although the key popped off after a week but that's not a major issue. My only complaint is about HP service, the only way I can fix that is to send the computer back to them which will take 3 weeks or more to come back to me. I compare that with another manufacturer, it's really discouraging for future considerations.

5I love this laptop  Sep 17, 2008
I've had this beauty since May '08. I tried Windows Vista for a few days, but I really hate it, can't stand it, so I went back to good old Windows XP, after researching a little over the internet I found a complete list of the drivers, and yes, they all work perfectly, so since may 15 I've been using XP and I'm loving it. Also I've recently installed Kubuntu 8.04 and although I'm having some problems with the wireless and ricoh card drivers, it rocks.

I totally recommend this PC.

1A piece of junk.  Aug 19, 2008
This is the worst computer I have ever owned. I had it for a week and got so frustrated that I erased everything and put XP on it to find out they don't make the device drivers for XP. How convenient. I can't install any of my software on it. Some programs I paid hundreds of dollars for.
