5Two Thumbs Up  Jan 04, 2009
We purchased this laptop some six months ago - mostly to use when traveling, (though it's now become a common household use) through Amazon and have been pleasantly pleased by it's ease of use and performance. We purchased this computer based on the reviews and our needs, and have not been let down by it's performance at all. Windows Vista has been some what of a chore to get used to, but other than that, it's been awesome. The clarity on the screen is ABOVE normal, and it's lightweight enough to not be cumbersome. Accessories are easy to add. We added a wireless headset and mouse to ours, which helped the transistion from a desktop to a laptop all the easier.

4So Far .....  Dec 12, 2008
Love the laptop. Thought I was getting a different color case- got White w/ swirls...reminded me of one of my fantasy girls...yeah babe! Any ways, I'm loving it so far. Actually dedicated for business use only. Business still being formulated. No problems otherwise- OK? OK!

1piece of junk  Dec 01, 2008
This is my second hp product, I should have learned from the first one to stay away from hp. I have owned a hp pavilion dv6707 for 8 months, have had over 100 vidio graphics errors/failures and hp refuses to replace the nvidia card. Have sent it in for two times, hp failed to repair failures. I`m now sending in this laptop a third time, for the same thing, vidio graphics card failure. I have no faith in this commpany, Tech support is horrible, cheap India labor that can`t speak english shows what type of company this is.....CHEAP! I rate this computor and hp at -5 stars.

4Great  Nov 21, 2008
It is not the fanciest laptop around but it is reliable. Plus, It is great for de-friending lifelong friends on myspace.

5Best value laptop   Nov 16, 2008
I use this machine for music, dvd's, online streaming of tv shows, managing my photos, video conferencing, video editing, music editing and it can handle it all. I have had the laptop for almost 1 year and after getting used to the dreaded Vista, I now quite like it. Vista seems good for Home rather than Office use, I can understand businesses sticking with XP.

My previous laptop was a year 2000 Dell Inspiron. For years that computer was holding on to its last breath, eeking out its miserable existence. Getting the HP Pavilion was like upgrading from a Citroen 2CV to a spacecraft.

Importantly, I have experienced no serious overheating problems and the power cord has a solid connection to the laptop.
