great bargain Mar 09, 2008
Wife wanted a laptop to use at home. She likes my Dell but we cannot afford a Dell so Acer filled the bill: wireless, MS Office home/student, IE access, plays DVD while traveling.

Had it set up and running within 5 hrs, including setting up antivirus NIS ($49) and office. BTW, look for MS Office 2007 (trial free for 60 days) for student here on Amazon. $119 versus $149 from Microsoft site.
