4Works without McAfee  Jun 11, 2008
I have used this switch flawlessly for about 4 months; that is, until I installed McAfee Security Center. I could only guess what "feature" of McAfee shuts down the software that runs this little device, but I am confident that McAfee is the cause. I un-installed the Security Center, and it works again. I am personally very happy with the device, but the software compatibility issue is the reason for 4-stars instead of 5. I do not need another reason to stop using McAfee; the question is do you?

1Switching function does NOT work....  Feb 28, 2008
This is a good idea that doesn't work...
Installed the software into a PC and a Macbook, was able to print from one channel, but never the other.
What the ????
Why make something that clearly doesn't work most of the time?? (judging from the other reviews...)

5Perfect Item!   Jan 08, 2008
This item does exactly what the description states. I have 2 computer connected to a printer using this device and switching between computers could not be easier. All you have to do is hit CTRL + F11 and it immediately switches between computers. Could not have asked for an easier product!

1Does not work with OSX.  Nov 05, 2007
Does not work with any Intel based Mac, according to Belkin's website. I made the mistake of not researching it ahead of time.

3Not Automatic  Oct 01, 2007
The product was difficult to configure and did not work as expected. I expected that the printer would AUTOMATICALLY be available to two different notebook computers via USB. In reality, software is involved plus the need to click on an icon in the System Tray. Even so, the switching did not produce consistent results. Both notebooks were running Windows XP Home Edition.

It was easier to manually switch the cables so I'm not using the device at this time.
